This is a gorgeous Arabica Coffee Tree Starter. It has been rooted, established, and comes ready to plant. The Arabica plant is a large bush with dark-green oval leaves. It is genetically different from other coffee species, having four sets of chromosomes rather than two. The fruits are oval and will mature in 7 to 9 months. They usually contain two flat seeds or coffee beans. When only one bean develops, it is called a peaberry. The Arabica Coffee Tree originated in the mountains of Ethiopia, where it was first cultivated over 1,000 years ago. In the wild, plants grow 30 to 40 feet tall with an open crown. It naturally grows in the shade of other, taller trees, so it is a shade-tolerant tree that can be grown in shadier areas of your garden or indoors in a pot. Arabica coffee plants thrive in bright, indirect light. This mimics their natural habitat as understory plants. They prefer a spot near a bright window but not in direct sunlight. They love soil that is slightly acidic with a pH level of 6.0 to 6.5. The ideal soil is peat-based, rich, and has good drainage. Plants should not be exposed to the elements or left in a hot or cold mailbox for extended periods of time. You are eligible for a refund or replacement if plants are damaged or die during shipping or if the health of your plant does not look well.
If your plant dies within 30 days of delivery, you are entitled to a replacement or a refund. Please send us a picture of the plant, and we will send you a new plant or refund your payment.
