This is a stunning 'Majestic Scallops' Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi starter succulent. It comes rooted, established, and ready to plant. They are very interesting and so easy to grow. The Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi is commonly known as the 'Majestic Scallops'. It is native to central and south-eastern Madagascar. It is a gorgeous succulent plant that grows thin, slender stems in clumps. The leaves are thin and waxy and have beautiful purple margins. It will bloom in the late spring through the summer and produce wonderful bell shaped flowers that grow in clusters. It is an erect succulent that reaches a mature height of around 20 inches. These can also be a creeping plant that will easily root itself along the ground. It will gradually spread outward as it matures. They will thrive in bright but indirect sunlight. These plants love a combination of peat moss, perlite, and sand with a slightly acidic pH level of 6.0 to 6.5. This soil mixture provides good drainage and aeration. It does not have to be watered until the soil is nearly dry. It is best not to use a substrate like vermiculite because it can easily harm the root part of this plant. It prefers a warm climate and will grow well outdoors year round in USDA zones 8b-11. It does best when the temperature is between 65°F and 90°F and the overwintering temperature cannot be less than 41°F. These amazing plants are very easy to grow and maintain.
